We are looking for a computer-savvy Purchasing Assistant with 2+ years of office experience who will support the purchasing department and front office with daily duties.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Responsibilities
Place and confirm orders with vendors.
Obtain price quotes for product and freight.
Track shipments and request freight delivery receipts.
Quickly create spreadsheets and navigate them with ease.
Communicate and develop rapport with vendors and coworkers.
Assist in credit checks and soft collection calls.
Required Skills
Excellent computer skills, including 10-key by touch, 50+ WPM, and solid experience with excel spreadsheets, functions and quick keys. Previous use of MAS90 or comparable inventory systems a plus.
Quick learner with a willingness to become knowledgeable of our products, vendors, and freight carriers.
Task oriented with great attention to detail, excellent follow through skills, and strong ability to prioritize tasks.
Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and responsible.
