Your sole responsibility is to communicate with customers over the phone, offer pertinent information regarding our products and services, and be yourself.
We have a full-time staff to handle all support functions, such as faxing to customers, obtaining freight pricing, establishing credit terms, and making copies of orders.
We do not have house accounts. Even when a sales manager assists with an account, the sale is still credited to the sales person.
There is no competition between sales people for accounts, as all customers are divided into territories so that our customers can be best served.
Job Responsibilities
Make outbound sales calls to new and existing customers
Present product information and offer product suggestions
Resolve customer problems
Qualify prospective customers and quote prices
Close sales and write up orders
Communicate effectively and working well with other departments
Receive incoming calls
Assist other sales persons
Additional Responsibilities May Include
Lead a team of sales associates to expand new territory
Bid contracts
Prepare computerized reports
Mentor trainees
Close sales and write up orders
Required Skills
At least 2 years previous sales experience (industrial sales a plus)
Positive attitude and friendly personality
Strong communication over the phone
Detail-oriented and organized
Responsible and dependable
Team player
